ALL of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHAT IS “JACK AND THE BEANSTALK”?

Before the line in the clue, the giant in “Jack and the Beanstalk” says “Fee fi fo fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman.” According to the wikipedia article, the earliest known printed version appeared in 1711 in “Jack the Giant-Killer” so methinks that title would have worked today, too.

The video: This “Fractured Fairy Tale” version of “Jack and the Beanstalk” comes from the early ’60s TV series, “The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends”. Jack isn’t stealing the giant’s stuff in it. The giant stole all of it from his mother.

Lauren bet $6,401 and finished with $14,001.

Jenna bet $7,500. That brought her up to $16,500.

Will didn’t bet anything. He already had the semi-final spot in the bag. Jenna and Lauren recovered beautifully from that not-so-hot first round. Their final scores are going to make the next two days very interesting in terms of Wild Card results!
