WHAT IS “MAMMA MIA”?

“Bohemian Rhapsody” first hit No. 1 on the UK singles chart in November of 1975. It held that No.1 spot for last five weeks of that year and the first four weeks of 1976, when ABBA’s “Mamma Mia” went to No. 1. The “Mamma mia” lyric in the famously long Bohemian Rhapsody is at about 3:54 in this video with the song’s lyrics

This rare coincidence appears on many Bohemian Rhapsody trivia articles. It’s mentioned in No. 1 on this list of 20 Things about Bohemian Rhapsody

Greg didn’t have a response. He didn’t bet anything either so his score remained at $4,800.

Dane had the right group but the wrong song with “Waterloo”. He lost his $9.801 bet and finished with $6,799.

Hillary chose the lyric “carry on”. (Close to “Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas from Nov. 1976). She lost $16,601 and was left with $199. That made Dane a 2-day champ with winnings of $34,799.

hi. I like anime, my favorite character is ash Ketchum from one bleach, and I liked when he tried to become the pirate king.

Dane and Ken were talking about the Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. preschool show “Yo Gabba Gabba!”. When Dane talked to Ken about the 8 ft tall guy with the guitar, I think Dane dressed up as Muno. The character who’s tall and friendly.

  3. Robert W. Ward says:

I thought it was “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac

    That was a terrible FJ.
First, it said “In Queen’s lyrics”. It didn’t say the lyrics were specifically in “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The clue needed to clarify that the answer was indeed in “Bohemian Rhapsody” and not just any Queen song.

Second, using UK chart dates and expecting US contestants to know the timeline isn’t playing fair. In the US, they entered the charts four months apart, and “Bohemian Rhapsody” had already dropped out of the Top 40 before “Mamma Mia” reached the Top 40. That’s hardly sequential hits.
An overall poor job by the writers. No wonder this was a triple stumper.

Well no triple solve today but still if only I had a cd of Abba that would be a good christmas present later on. I was hoping Hilary would have won today had she not bet that big bundle. But still though good game by everyone here. her response of carry on wasn’t even close and Abba certainly didn’t perform carry on. A good comeback by Dane today so I hope tomorrow will allow Dane to get a comeback. Also VJ are you a fan of Abba? You haven’t responded in three weeks now here on the site.

well, Lou, I have to rest a lot to begin with but even more after I sprained my ankle recently. I guess you missed it, but I answered your question about Langston Hughes this morning, plus I suggested you could look up some things that you ask yourself and share the answers in the comments.

That would be better than directing your questions directly to me these days when I need a lot of rest. Besides, if you don’t address your questions directly to me, you may get more than one response.

As for ABBA, they had a lot of good songs, but I don’t have a favorite song and I can’t say it’s one of my favorite groups.

      • Lou says:

I understand, I hope your ankle gets better soon. I know that’s not fun. But hopefully the recovery will help and physical therapy will help as well. Praying you get a full recovery as well my friend. But I will try to one of these days share some answers hopefully at the start of the new year. Thanks again for the update vJ!

Tough final today as we got a triple stumper. Today’s final wasn’t very nice to anybody. Besides, nobody knows about music.
