Tue, June 8 – Correct answers: 1
FOOD & DRINK PHRASES: A 1951 Time article said, “Since the war,” this 2-word term for a period of time “has been written into union contracts” show

Wed, June 9 – Correct answers: 1

show

Fri, June 11 – Correct answers: 1
GEOGRAPHY WORDS: From the Latin for “key”, this word for a type of isolated country applies to Vatican City, which has keys on its flag show

It was a rare week indeed where only 1 player got FJ right in every game. The hardest one for me was The Supreme Court on Thursday, meaning it took the longest to figure out. The others I either just knew or figured out rather quickly. The Golden Age Actress and 1960s Singers were easiest. I read a biography of that actress when I was a teen and I was a teen in the 1960s.

Jeopardy! champs, week of May 31, 2021

We had a new champ in every game this week. On Monday, 2x champ Julia Markham Cameron was defeated by Verlinda Johnson Henning. Verlinda lost to Tim Lopez on Tuesday. Mara Davis won Wednesday’s game and lost on Thursday to Ankit Gupta. Katie Sekelsky won on Friday and she will return next Monday for her second game, when Savannah Guthrie starts her 2-week stint as guest host.

Mara had the only payday over $20,000. A 2-week total of $194,851 was raised for Mayim Bialik’s charity, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
