Supporting Cast of Shabbos Goy: Ray Donovan

Here are some of the actors who appeared in “Shabbos Goy” (9-10-2017) in “Ray Donovan,” Episode 5 of Season 5. The episode recap is here.

That old man just gave me $300

Christine Horn played the bartender at the Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen’s Club, where the dancers are completely nude. In that case, the State of California says they can’t serve any alcohol. Mickey gave her a $300 tip just for being beautiful. Will she succumb to Mickey’s charms? We didn’t peg her for a golddigger and it’s not her fault if Mickey wants to part with his Ben Franklins so freely. But if she knew what happened to Mickey’s last girlfriend, she’d say forget you, old boy.

Get someone else to pick her up!

Priscilla Garita played Carmen Ortiz, the lady who takes care of little Maria and other kids at her daycare center. Perhaps she thought she was doing Bunchy a favor by not calling CPS on him when he came to pick his daughter up under the influence, but it’s the kind of thing that a person can end up deeply regretting. By calling CPS, Bunchy would have been forced to take classes and deal with himself. As it turned out, Carmen won’t have to worry about it because Bunchy and alcohol are now separated by a set of prison bars. Look at little Maria, though– isn’t she adorable. Great casting– she looks a lot like Bunchy.

Like, can I get a freakin’ robbery on my shift, right?

Mel Cowan played Kenny, the counter guy at Railhead Subs who was jealous that his co-worker, Ian, stands to collect workers comp and a hefty settlement from the company for not providing enough security to prevent a robbery. Bunchy was looking at him like that was the craziest thing he ever heard. Seeing as how he is a Donovan, it probably wasn’t.

Other Notes:

• Frank Barnes better watch his back. He may think spending 3 days a year at Quantico on “tells” makes him smarter than Mickey, but he’s not as crafty.
• Terry’s marriage is apparently over before it even began. Now that he and Damon are relocating to New York, will Damon’s father show up? And with all the other story lines going on, will we get to see Hector again?
• There’s also the story line of Mickey’s script, starring Jay White. The Gentlemen’s Club bartender could play the bank teller in that if they pick that story line back up.
• Will we find out what was in that box that Vicky stole from Ray? She became the second casualty of the season when she recklessly drove into the path of oncoming traffic.
