Supporting Cast of Gem and Loan: Ray Donovan

Mickey Donovan (Jon Voight) found a friend in his neighbor, Shorty (played by Stephan Duvall). Shorty has pancreatic cancer and it’s not certain how long he’ll be around, but while he is, he’s got Mickey’s back. Still, a couple of things happened that may affect Mickey’s treatment by Ronald Keith (Wendell Pierce) the parole office Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber) bought to make Mickey’s life miserable. Mickey now knows that Ray put Keith on his ass for one thing.

Abby’s meeting with her soon-to-be neighbor, Judy Hoffman (portrayed by Elizabeth Greer) did not go quite so well. If Judy didn’t know that some people are super-sensitive about their regional accents, she does now!

John Ales played Ricky, a porn filmmaker. Ricky had something Stu Feldman (Josn Pais) wanted very badly — his wife. Tori Black played his wife and main star, Lexi Steele. After Stu tried to handle an arrangement with Ricky and Lexi on his own, Ray ended up $200K richer and Lexi got a part in a Tommy Wheeler (Austin Nichols) film.

Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee Ralph played two devoted woman. Sherilyn is Donna Cochran, married to Hank Azaria’s character, the head of the L.A. FBI. She devotedly watched her husband’s short 60 Minutes spot with him in Gem & Loan.

Sheryl Lee Ralph plays Claudette, the love of Mickey’s life and Daryll’s mother. Although Claudette is now married to another man, she is still devoted to Mickey to the extent that she will lie to the law for him. Ronald Keith drove Mickey to his date with Claudette and couldn’t believe that a classy woman like her had a kid with Mickey. Will this soften his attitude toward Mickey or will he be looking deeper into their current situation?
