Final Jeopardy: 2-8-to 2-12-21

Here are the Final Jeopardy questions and answers for the week of February 8 through February 12, 2021:

Mon, Feb 8 – Correct answers: 0
WORLD LITERATURE: In a classic novel from 1866, the murders of 2 women take place in this city show

Tue, Feb 9 – Correct answers: 2
THE 50 STATES: While it has only 31 miles of coastline on the Atlantic, its shoreline is almost 3,200 miles thanks to a large estuary & its tributaries show

Wed, Feb 10 – Correct answers: 1
HISTORIC NAMESAKES: This aircraft was named for the second president of the Weimar Republic show

Thu, Feb 11 – Correct answers: 1
THE OSCARS: The first time an individual won 4 awards at a single ceremony was in 1954, when his wins included Best 2-Reel Short Subject show

Fri, Feb 12 – Correct answers: 0
ANCIENT GREEK PHILOSOPHERS: Asked to describe this 4th century B.C. member of the Cynics, Plato called him “a Socrates gone mad” show

The two triple stumpers this week were bookends. Friday’s clue was hardest out of those 2, in my opinion. It would seem that Tuesday’s clue with 2 correct responses was the easiest; however, I personally thought The Oscars on Thursday was easier. They both had good hints in them so perhaps they were equally easy.

Jeopardy! champs, week of February 8, 2021

Leah Wiegand was the returning champ on Monday. She was defeated by John Focht who was going for a 5th win by Friday. That didn’t happen when Lance St. Laurent showed up and sent John home.
