Although it seemed liked a very spotty week in FJ’s, we only had one triple stumper. Compared to last week’s 3, that’s a nice improvement! Still, I can’t say which clue was the hardest. However, I can say that Tuesday’s magazine clue was definitely the easiest and I’m sure you’ll agree.

Jeopardy! champs, week of December 14, 2020

Kate Freeman returned on Monday for a second game but she lost to Valerie Castelo. Valerie was defeated by Brayden Smith on Tuesday and Brayden racked up 3 more wins by the end of the week. Brayden had a couple of impressive paydays in his first two games but Valerie still had the top payday of the week with $38,001.

Brayden was also being applauded for his ability to uncover all the Daily Doubles AND get them right. Well, whether it’s skill or luck or a combo of both, the thing is when you start off at the top like that, it can’t last forever and the only place to go is down. Brayden missed FJ! on Thursday and Friday, plus he “only” got two DD’s on Friday. We’re not going to be seeing Brayden’s fifth game till next year, but unlike Zach Newkirk, we know the date Brayden will be back: January 4th, 2021.

Here is the Barbie Celebrates Role Models category from Monday’s game, one of the few categories that was played from top to bottom last week!
