WHAT IS HALLMARK?

Hallmark does take credit for bringing modern gift wrapping papers to the United States in 1917 with the introduction of various decorative designs. Although they mainly recognize that this was an improvisation, on their website they have the word “invented” in quotes, perhaps under the “necessity is the mother of invention” rationale. According to Wikipedia’s gift-wrapping article, the tradition has been around in one form or another since the second century in ancient China.

Devon got it right. He didn’t bet anything so he remained at $1200.

Amanda thought it was 3M. That cost her $11,000. She finished with $3,200.

Brayden came up with Western Union. He lost $12,201 but won the game with the $3,999 he had left. His 4-day total is $97,799.

What is WRONG with these players? 2nd time recently someone lost big bucks by not wagering properly. All Amanda had to do was bet $2001 and hope Brayden got Final wrong. (And it was a very easy Final, at that.)

Those missed Yacht Rock questions were a cinch for this old man.

  2. William Weyser says:

Both yesterday & today, a lot of people, including me, were convinced that Brayden would make it to the elusive $100,000 mark, and both times, it wound up being too much to ask for, but at least, Brayden got his 4th win, ax well as his 10th Consecutive & Correct Daily Double, and this means that we’re gonna have to wait, until January 4th to see if he gets it right.

  3. Lou says:

There is a channel on television called the hallmark channel. Hallmark greeting cards are being sold in stores everywhere. I thought the other two would get it. Congrats to Brayden even if his winnings were small. Why would amanda make such a bad move risking 12K? Brayden could have bet nothing and still win.

    • klm says:

Amanda could and should have bet nothing and she would’ve won. Second placer before FJ should stay put and hope the leader gets FJ wrong. This is sheer mathematical ineptitude! Hard to fathom this in someone good enough to be on Jeopardy!

  4. Ken Brown says:

Hallmark takes credit where credit is not due.

  5. Kevin Cheng says:

Well that is a wild way to end the week, It looks like we gonna to see a big payday all this week but instead we end the week with a small payday. It looks like we would say adios to Brayden but he got lucky at the end and remained champ. The bad news is we will not see Brayden’s next game until January 4, 2021. Starting next week is a rerun of 10 best alex trebek moments around the world.

  6. Jeremy Epley says:

So, Brayden won by about $799, just $1 under $4,000, and that makes it 4 in a row for him.
