LITERARY CHARACTERS: A fragment from a nautical tool found on a Chilean island in 2005 was likely left by the Scot who partly inspired this character show
We didn’t have any triple solves this week, likely due to shoutouts in 2 runaway games. Thursday’s clue with the shrunken auditory nerves certainly had triple solve potential but one player didn’t make it to the final round. I believe that was the easiest clue in a week of fairly easy clues. We didn’t have any triple stumpers either. Friday’s clue was the only one with one right response. I got it because I remembered this clue from 2017 and the part I wrote about the Scot in question. What made this clue the hardest was the potential that someone might think a Scot was the answer.
This week’s winners:
Mon 9/30/24 $22,178 Ryan Manton
Tue 10/1/24 $21,600 Ryan Manton
Wed 10/2/24 $23,601 Ryan Manton
Thu 10/3/24 $15,800 Ryan Manton
Fri 10/4/24 $30,401 Mark Fitzpatrick
We thought we were getting our first 5-day champ last week with David Erb who made $90,754 before losing his 4th game. This week, it sure looked like Ryan Manton was going to run the week. Three of his games were runaways! But Ryan lost to Mark Fitzpatrick on Friday. Mark had the top daily payout of the week. Ryan’s 4-day winnings came to $83,179 plus he got $3,000 of the $25,000 paid in consolation prizes. Jeopardy!’s total payout this week was $113,580.
Here is the OCEAN OF LOTION category from Friday’s game.
