I missed the show, so I appreciate this excellent recap on such days.
If Katie had $400, how did she wager $3K on the first DD?
I’m somewhat surprised that only one player surmised that Grace Kelly became Princess Grace of Monaco. Perhaps my advanced age made it easier for me.

@Howard, my numbers were off there — she had $4,000 and Jennifer’s score was actually $10,600 at that point. Thanks for the heads up. It’s fixed now.

Well a win is a win. Even if Jennifer didn’t get this, I still think she has a shot at the 100K. This is our fourth lady with a big 90K win since Emma Boettcher. Although I commend Randy on getting final right, he couldn’t get much rhythm going. Do you think we might see Jennifer break this three game curse VJ?

    • VJ says:

Lou, I really don’t think much about how many games the players will win. As we saw yesterday, it depends on who Jennifer has to contend with whether she will win her 4th game, right?

I was kinda rushing today because I had to go out for a little while but I just noticed that the FJ clue (as shown on the screen in the game) did not have quotes around the word royalty, whereas on Jeopardy’s Clue of the Day page, it was written as one whole quote, so I fixed that.

When I saw the clue this morning, I just thought of Princess Grace, the first movie star royal that would come to my mind and I stopped right there. In retrospect, I could see how the the clue might point to other countries, particularly after klm pointed out that barbarians might lead one to think of Conan.
