The 2016 Teen Tournament began in the middle of this week, so the first two matches were regular games and the next three were quarter-final matches from the tournament taped in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. So we’ll have to skip the easy/hard comparisons this week. One thought did cross our minds: they gave the teens that Natural Wonders clue this Thursday and last Thursday, they gave the adults the “gloomy” Literary Animals clue. Oh, the injustice!– or maybe just some big mixup.

Jeopardy champs for the week of November 7, 2016

In the regular games, Chuck Dunn was the returning champ on Monday but he lost to Georjean McKeeman. She lost to Stephanie Hubley on Tuesday. Stephanie won’t be back to defend her title until the end of the month. That’s because we’ve got the last two quarter-finals of the Teen Tournament, followed by 3 semi-finals coming up next week. Then we’ll still have the 2 final matches. See Friday’s game for the Wild Card list as of the end of this week.

Sabrina Duong’s “What are those?” Final Jeopardy! response on Wednesday certainly got the most attention. Jeopardy! made a video of it, describing her as “the meme queen during the #TeenTournament quarterfinals” on their youtube channel.
