There were 2 solves for every final clue this week, except for that pesky geography clue on Thursday, so there you have the toughest clue this week. Our vote for easiest “def”initely went to Friday’s clue, even though we were surprised when Monday’s wasn’t a clean sweep.
Alan Harrison was Monday’s returning champ but he lost to Maryann Penzvalto. She won again on Tuesday, then took her 2-day total ($28,602) home on Wednesday when Laura McLean prevailed. Laura won on Thursday in the first tiebreaker since they decided to disallow co-champs in November 2014. On Friday, Matt Lisiecki ran away with the game.
