WHAT IS A LEOPARD?

The Arkansas School for the Deaf has been using a leopard as its sports team mascot since at least 1941, according to an Education Week article reporting on the 2016 meeting between the Deaf Leopards and famed British rockers, Def Leppard. Even though there was never an intentional connection there, “the similarity in the names has been a running joke for years.”

Laura thought it was an eagle. She didn’t bet anything so she remained at $6,200.

Suzie got it right. Her $400 bet brought her up to $7,000 even.

Matt got it, too. He added $850 to win the match with $14,950. Matt Lisiecki is the new Jeopardy! champ.

Interesting, we had this category previously when Choyon Manjrekar was here and Dan Feitel defeated him with a right response, VJ. I guess Laura was a good sport knowing she wasn’t.going to win but I love the bets made today. Def Leppard is a great band but do you still have any songs from that band VJ?

    • VJ says:

I never had any songs from Def Leppard, Lou. That was my son’s thing — he had CDs, T-shirts and all that from all those bands. As I recall it, Metallica was his favorite. If I hear them, I recognize a lot of those songs from that time. I remember my son put a Faith No More 45 in my record collection — Let’s Lynch the Landlord.

Well, whaddya know? Alex was very brief in opening the show, not mentioning the tiebreaker nor the low payout of the last match and voila! both rounds got finished.
