Zsa Zsa Battling Pneumonia. Von Anhalt Delusional

While his 94-year-old wife is back in the hospital fighting pneumonia, Frederick Von Anhalt is reportedly inventing tales about surrogates and babies.

Ms. Gabor was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center by ambulance on Wednesday afternoon on doctor’s orders after a regular exam at her home.

Her publicist, John Blanchette, told CNN that the Hungarian legend was having breathing problems. “They’re trying to save her life right now, getting the fluids off her lungs,” Blanchette said.

The last of the famed Gabor sisters, the aged actress has been beset with health problems for years. Her right leg was amputated above the knee in the beginning of this year. A recommendation to amputate her left leg was made while she was in the hospital in March. It was reported that Gabor became ill and depressed after learning of the death of Elizabeth Taylor. She declined the surgery, preferring to return home.

Gabor’s husband, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, who gave up his bid for governor of California to take care of his ailing wife, was recently in the news after claiming that he and Zsa Zsa planned to have a child by artificial insemination before she dies.

The Prince lunched with David Hasselhoff’s ex, Pamela Bach, this past Monday, and rumors sprang up that she had offered to help with the baby plan in some concrete way, like being the surrogate and/or donating an egg or two. Bach’s rep set the record straight, telling TMZ, “We refuse to acknowledge the delusional ramblings of this man who clearly has done nothing more than plant a fictional tale in a desperate attempt for attention. Our sympathy to Ms. Gabor who is an innocent victim of his shenanigans.”

At Fikkle Fame, we have always been just a bit skeptical of this whole baby tale, which started with TMZ and continues to get more bizarre. Yes, we saw the Prince on TV talking to TMZ paps, but we idly wonder if he is really so desperate for attention that he would be dealing with a website that regularly calls him Prince Von Ahole.
