Supporting Cast of The Transfer Agent – Ray Donovan

Here are some of the actors who appeared in the 12-29-2019 episode of Ray Donovan (The Transfer Agent). The episode recap is over here.

George Bartenieff in Ray Donovan

I am the transfer agent

George Bartenieff played the transfer agent, Gerald Moskovitz. Jim Sullivan’s daughter, Molly, tried to intervene when Moskovitz went to deliver the briefcase containing the stock certificate made out to “Terence Donovan” but he had to follow his instructions. He made it clear that she knew he was not at liberty to discuss any of it with her. As we noted in the recap, the stock certificate was for 100 shares of Sullivan Industries Class A common stock. The par value set forth on the certificate was $124.53 per share. Investopedia will explain that par value and market value are two different things. Still, what does Daryll think he is going to do with a stock certificate that is in his half-brother’s name?

Bill Heck in Ray Donovan

Doyle … got a job all the way down to the Philly mint.

Bill Heck played young Mickey Donovan. In the present, old Mickey told Jim Sullivan that he is not the same person he was, that seeing all his dreams ruined (by Jim) caused him so much pain that it burned away everything unnecessary in him, “and what’s left, Jimmy, is hardened.” But from what we saw, Mickey is pretty much the same as he was back then, always looking for a scam and never thinking it through.

Austin Hébert in Ray Donovan

No boy should ever kill his own father

Austin Hébert played young Jim Sullivan. For all that Mickey has been shown to be a bumbling criminal, Jim was obviously a more successful criminal back then. Jim has been paying blackmail money to the O’Malley family for years over those tapes that the Donovans now have so it’s no wonder he’s willing to do anything to get them back. And let’s not forget that Jim’s son Declan hates him as much as Ray hates Mickey. We’re still waiting to find out more of Declan’s horrible history.

Hunter Canning in Ray Donovan

Mick, what’re you doin’?

Aidan Pierce Brennan played young Ray Donovan. Did you notice that young Ray was already not calling Mickey “Dad”? Young Ray decided he was going to kill Mickey In one of the flashbacks in this episode but Jim Sullivan talked him out of it. It was confusing… was Mickey already in jail because of the set-up when Ray-Ray came looking for him? Then at the end of the episode, Mickey returned home saying he got out early for good behavior. On an armed robbery charge?
