Oprah Baby Confession Shocked Piers Morgan

What shocked Piers Morgan most about Oprah? Piers sat down with ShowBiz Tonight’s A.J. Hammer to dish about his interview with talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey.

“Were you a bit stunned as to how much she was willing to tell?” A.J. Hammer asked.

“I was,” Piers replied, “because you kind of feel with Oprah that she must have done so many interviews over the years and she’s so confessional on her own show, that to try and pry anything new out of her is pretty difficult, but, I felt we had a great rapport, the chemistry was good. She relaxed and when anyone relaxes in an interview format, you are going to get stuff.”

A.J. Hammer said, to him, one of the most startling revelations of the interview was the fact that she actually blamed herself for getting pregnant when she was 14 years old but he was “shocked to hear her say that she felt relieved that she lost the baby. How surprised were you?”

“I was shocked,” Piers Morgan said, “I was shocked by a number of a parts of that story, actually. It was a wonder she was telling it at all. Secondly, she felt like it was the best thing that happened to her.” He was also shocked that Oprah’s father told her he would rather see his own daughter “washing up down the river” than come home pregnant, and it was even more shocking because as Oprah’s father spoke these words, he did not know that Oprah was pregnant but she did.

“This is a different time, different era,” Piers continued, “It’s something we can’t really understand in the modern era.”

Well, that’s not exactly true, Piers. Neither is it is not as uncommon as you might wish that teenagers try to kill themselves or abort their pregnancies, or worse, kill the baby when it is born.

Piers and A.J. then talked about the celebrities Piers has banned from his talk show: Heather Mills, Howie Mandell and Madonna!

Madonna, according to Piers, is “incredibly irritating … on almost every level. I mean, it’s a series of crimes — against music, against fashion. I just think everything about Madonna is ludicrous. I mean, Lady Gaga, who to me is younger, better-looking, more talented …”

Uh, yeah, Piers … it’s not just to you that Lady Gaga is younger than Madonna. It’s a fact that she is 28 years younger than Madonna. As for the looks and talent, may we suggest two specialists? Eye and ear.
