Mick Jagger Scheduled for Heart Procedure

Legendary Rolling Stones front man, Mick Jagger is scheduled for surgery on his heart, according to recent reports. The procedure is going to be performed on the 75-year-old rocker this week in New York City and the Stones had to postpone their upcoming North American “No Filter” tour because of it.

The Sun reported that the specific procedure was a non-invasive heart valve replacement. Other reports are saying that he has to have a stent to unblock an artery. All reports say that Jagger is in great physical shape and is expected to be back on his feet after a normal recuperation period, barring any complications (we presume).

“I really hate letting you down like this,” Jagger said in a tweet. “I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on the road as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”

Not meaning it in a critical way, it might be a good time for Mick to retire. He just became a father for the eighth time two years ago and will be 76 in July. (Pictures of the adorable little tyke Deveraux are on The Sun article). We’re sure his fans would understand him putting his health and family first.
