Jane Fonda will be honored at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday, April 27, when her hand and footprints will be set in concrete, an honor for any actor, but for Jane, it will be extra special because her prints will be right next to those of her legendary Oscar-winning father, Henry Fonda.

Jane is no slouch in the Oscar department herself having won two Best Actress Oscars: for her performance as Bree Daniels in “Klute” (1971); and Best Actress for her performance as Sally Hyde in “Coming Home” (1978).

“I’ve made some really good films. There’s also a lot of films I wish I could do over again,” the 75-year-old actress said. “But I’ve been lucky: I’ve worked with some great directors, and I feel like I’m still a work in progress as an actor. I feel like I’m still learning.”

In addition to her two wins, she was nominated for an Oscar 5 other times for:

  • The Morning After (1986) – Best Actress in a Leading Role;
  • On Golden Pond (1981) – Best Actress in a Supporting Role;
  • The China Syndrome (1979) – Best Actress in a Leading Role;
  • Julia (1977) – Best Actress in a Leading Role; and
  • They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? (1969) – Best Actress in a Leading Role

After the ceremony next to her father’s handprints and footprints, Fonda will present a special screening of “On Golden Pond,” in which she co-starred with her father and Katharine Hepburn (who both won the Best Actor and Actress Oscars for that film).
