On the bright side, everyone made it to Final Jeopardy this week. The easiest clue was definitely on Wednesday and the hardest was on Tuesday and the results bore that out. The “bookend” clues (Monday & Friday) both went 2 out of 3. Thursday’s clue proved to be sort of a “before our time’ thing for two of the players. They were likely watching shows like “Barney” at the time.
Ryan Bilger won his third game and his fourth on Tuesday. But that was it. Sam Kavanaugh took over on Wednesday and was a 3x champ by Friday. He will be back on Monday for his fourth game.
Sam got on my list of the Top 15 Daily Payouts of Season 35. He also got on the list of under $10K payouts. As we say around here: “Sometimes you’re hot, sometimes you’re not.”
As noted before, this list only reflects a contestant’s highest payout, otherwise James Holzhauer would be dominating that list. As it is, he is now the only player for all 10 spots in the Single-Game Winnings column in Jeopardy!’s Hall of Fame.
Check out James Holzhauer’s Jeopardy Statistics for a quick look at his FJ and DD bets in all his games. More 10 games or more Jeopardy! champs.
