The 20th Century Novels and Classic Rock categories contained the easiest clues this week. Tuesday’s clue was the only triple stumper and only one player got the last 2 clues of the week right. We don’t have to tell you the hardest one. Thursday’s clue was the easiest of the other two.

Jeopardy! champs for the week of July 2, 2018

Scott McFadden was the returning champ on Monday, trying for that elusive 4th win. He was defeated by Suzanne Koppelman who won two more games. A 4th win eluded her too when Marilyn Maher won on Thursday. On Friday, Lauren Kiehna won with the biggest haul of the week. That didn’t change the Top 10 payouts of Season 34, but it was $1.00 more than David Kleinman’s winnings on 6/8/18. That was also a Friday and the highest payout of that week.

Here is the “First Thing in the Morning” category from Tuesday’s game.

That was funny to me, too, Cece. I guess a lot of guys call a beer “a cold one.” My brother and his buddies always did.

I hear you on the coffee!! I needs it 😀

    • Cece says:

But a “a cold one” first thing in the morning?!!

I have a friend who had to cut down on her coffee considerably because her breast-fed 4 month old baby was not sleeping much at night and taking only 15 minutes nap during the day. Now the baby sleeps just fine, but my friend says w/out coffee she has no reason to live. 🙂

      • VJ says:

Yeah, it’s also called hair of the hound that bit you.

Maybe your friend can just drink decaf till she’s done with breastfeeding. Then I would advise her to switch to half-caff. That’s what I did when my kids were little and I would get all testy with them. I realized that it was me, not them. I was “wired.”

On the “first thing in the morning” category, Dave’s response of ‘beer’ was funny. For me, it has always been ‘let me get my coffee and no one gets hurt.’ And no weak-arse coffee either.
