This week started off with 2 players getting Final Jeopardy right and the same thing happened on Tuesday. On Wednesday, no one got the agency that had to work overtime. so that was the week’s toughest clue. Everyone got Thursday’s clue so that was the easiest. Friday’s clue was a big surprise to a lot of people when only one player knew it. It was really easy for teenagers of the 1990s, as well as their parents, aunts and uncles. The video was on the TV all the time! Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration but I remember it being on TV a lot more than the late ’80s Vogue dance craze inspired by Madonna.

Amy Hummel won her 4th game on Monday with $27,599, and her 5th ToC qualifier game on Tuesday with $15,200, bringing her total winnings to $100,994. Weckiai Rannila took over on Wednesday with $9,999 in the game when no one got FJ! right. Weckiai won $18,001 on Thursday and $7,200 on Friday. That’s $35,200 for 3 games and she will return on Monday. Just think, if Weckiai qualifies for the ToC, Ken might be telling us “interestingly, so far, it’s an all female field” like he did after Amy qualified. I’m not sure what he means to imply by that but I’m pretty sure he’d catch flak if he touted an “all male field.”

All in all, Jeopardy! paid out $77,999 to the winners and $25,000 to the runners-up this week.

Here is the NON-CAT & DOG PETS category from Friday’s game.

I’m not covering the Masters tournament because I’m sick of tournaments. I haven’t even watched it yet though I do want to see Victoria Groce kick butt
