One correct was the dominant result in this batch of Final Jeopardy! clues and that happened on the last 3 days of the week. The first two games went 0 and 2. Monday’s clue was the hardest but one that will be easy to remember from now on. Thursday’s clue was the easiest — at least for folks who knew that 40 whacks rhyme.

Jeopardy! champs, week of March 7, 2022

Margaret Shelton returned on Monday but fell victim to the dreaded 4-Game Curse. Maureen O’Neil won that game by default in one of the two games that paid under $10K. Maureen went on to win 3 more games and a total of $58,200. Then, ironically, the day after the Famous Trials clue, the ax fell as the 4-Game Curse struck again! Matt Glassman will be Monday’s returning champ. We don’t think the 4-game Curse can strike 3 contestants in a row so Matt may be safe from that if he can make it to 4 games.

Here is the “BOOZE IN BOOKS” category from Thursday’s game.

We don’t see out of 2 on Monday’s game because remember there are only 2 players who made it to FJ! on Monday. We started and ended the week with only 2 players in FJ! It was a tough week because there were no $20,000 paydays. Maureen had the highest payday this week with over $19,000.

Also Maureen set the record for the lowest and highest paydays of the week.
