This week’s players certainly put in a good showing in the final round up until Friday. All those games had 2 or 3 correct responses. The biopic mentioned in Friday’s clue didn’t ring a bell with anyone, even though the French actress who played “La Môme” won a much-publicized Best Actress Oscar. I can’t begin to judge easiest and hardest this week! Friday’s clue was easiest for me, but I was lost in space with Monday’s clue.

On Monday, 2x champ Troy Meyer returned. He already had $62,600 in the plus column from last week. Troy cleaned up like crazy in the first 4 games of the week with 2 paydays over $30K and 2 over $40K! By the end of Thursday’s game, he was a 6x winner to the splendiferous tune of $214,802. Then along came Jake DeArruda and he won Friday’s game with the aid of a big Daily Double bet and a Final Jeopardy! clue that stumped everyone. Troy will return in the next Tournament of Champions and Jake will be back on Monday.
