WHAT IS CAPRICORN?

The imaginary line that circles the Earth at 23° 26′ 22″ latitude south of the Equator is known as the Tropic of Capricorn. According to Wikipedia for Schools, the line “is so named because about 2,000 years ago the sun was entering the constellation Capricornus (capricorn is Latin for goat horn) at the December solstice. In modern times the sun appears in the constellation Sagittarius during this time. The change is due to precession of the equinoxes. The word ‘tropic’ itself comes from the Greek tropos, meaning turn, referring to the fact that the sun appears to ‘turn back’ at the solstices.”

Duncan bet $2,500 and finished with $16,100.

Troy bet $3,000 and won the game with $35,000, the same amount he won on Friday. His 3-day total is $97,600.
