The New Year didn’t start off with a bad week in Final Jeopardy! Everyone got the correct response to Tuesday’s clue. The other 4 clues were evenly divided between 2 and 1 correct responses, although on Thursday, only 2 players made it to the final round. The good news is there were no triple stumpers. We thought Thursday’s clue was the easiest and we nominated Wednesday’s clue for the hardest.

Jeopardy! champs, week of January 2, 2023

Ray Lalonde returned for Game 13 on Monday with what turned out to be the week’s biggest payday. He won that game but was defeated by Lloyd Sy in Game 14 on Tuesday. Lloyd won again on Wednesday but on Thursday, he lost to Patrick Curran. Patrick ran away with that game and duplicated that feat on Friday. He will be returning on Monday.

Here’s the category “OH MY GODS!” from Wednesday’s game.
