Yeah, I meant to comment on that big mistake Ken made – I mean, it’s right in front of him. It’s inexplicable.

Matt should have bet everything on his last Daily Double. That would have been his ONLY way to win the game at that point. People who are going to be on the show need to do game theory analysis in order to maximize their chances of success. What is the point of learning all the world capitals and not preparing proper wagering scenarios? It’s like going on a serious job interview without a tie. Players need to do everything to ensure success. After all, getting on Jeopardy is the chance of a lifetime.

  3. Howard says:

Had no clue on FJ, went with Grisham who’s a prolific author.

Those first two DDs were tough, but getting either one probably would have earned Matt a win. Carrie Hatchet? Ouch!

I was shocked Ken accepted Chief Joseph. Didn’t know the right answer, but I knew Joseph was from the Nez Perce here in the NW.

  4. Jacob Ska says:

I thought of Michael Crichton. The fj clue gave no timeframe. Imo it was left up to the contestants as well as viewers to pick a timeframe. Then after that select an author. As I said this morning on Spoiler Talk I’m normally not interested in the names of the spouses of authors.

  5. Jason says:

Well, it certainly wasn’t obvious to me, so, maybe walk that back a bit. I said “Henry Miller”.

The first half of the first round, I said, “Looks good”. However, second half, they retreated.

1/3 on DDs isn’t usually a path to victory.

Elliott reminded me of Wil Wheaton so much, in his looks, and his mannerisms and speech. I wonder if they are related.

  6. Rick says:

The FJ was all too obvious, and we were only surprised that two of the contestants just couldn’t come up with the correct response.

  7. Kevin Cheng says:

We don’t see the scores going into FJ! Could you fix that please?
