WHO IS JOHN GLENN?

At the age of 40, John Glenn was the first man to orbit the Earth. He did that 3 times over the course of almost 5 hours aboard the Mercury’s Friendship 7 capsule on 2/20/1962, at a speed in excess of 17,000 mph. While still a United States Senator (representing Ohio), on 10/29/1998, 77-year-old Glenn orbited the Earth 134 times on the Discovery space shuttle’s 9-day trip.     Jeopardy has been preempted due to covid in the classroom on news 8. Lame to show that instead of the game. But I am glad that everyone got final right.

      Lou, your channel will probably run it in the early morning. It was preempted on ABC here for coverage of John Lewis’ funeral and they are showing it a little after one in the morning.

      It was really a good game with just two triple stumpers and they almost went through the whole board.
