The week began with 2 correct responses in Final Jeopardy! and that was the highest of the week. Three games with no correct responses followed, although everyone’s response on Thursday was THISclose. One person got Friday’s clue right. It was a tough week! The book clues just didn’t have enough to be fair, imo. Wednesday’s clue gave a year for the novel but you needed to know some German if you never read the book. Thursday’s clue gave a year for the song, but you needed to know that song’s real title. On Friday, they didn’t even bother to give a time frame for the novel!

The last Champions Wild Card tournament of this season began on Monday with 5 quarterfinal matches. This week’s semifinalists are: Mira Hayward, Deb Bilodeau, Taylor Clagett, Alex Gordon and Jesse Matheny. Next week, there will be 4 more quarterfinals and one semifinal on Friday.

Here is the “Avengers, Who Said It?” category from Tuesday’s game.
