WHO IS HAILE SELASSIE?

This page on Weebly.com has a great big picture of members of the Imperial House of Ethiopia. Traditionally, the article says, the Solomonic dynasty began with King Menelik I, who was said to be the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. The dynasty became a bastion of Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, ruling over Ethiopia since the 13th century. The dynasty ended in the 20th century when Emperor Haile Selassie was deposed in 1974, the year before his death.

Epic game today. Excellent players. Matt was in a distant 3rd late in the game but went on a run and took the lead. Josh fought back but missed an easy $400 question at the end (said Sondheim instead of Webber). That cost him a tie, or the lead if he’d gotten it right. Which ultimately affected the final outcome. Had they tied with $20200, they both likely would have bet it all on FJ and moved on to a tie-breaker. FJ was easier than two of the 3 DDs (abacus was a gimme).

Matt has a disturbing habit of beginning every one of his responses with “What’s” even if the answer is a person or a plural. I don’t think I’ve even seen that before. It’s acceptable, of course, but off-putting.

  2. Jeopardy! lover says:

Great game today! I was happy to see Josh and Matt get FJ! right and Matt won $40,400 which is the 3rd highest win this season.

    • Albert says:

You are correct. VJ’s Jeopardy site is superior

      • Darius Scott says:

You, Albert, are also correct! You Know, there were a LOT of highest paydays in this season! Jeez, I could have got all of them!

  4. Lou says:

Easy final here today but still Josh’s misspelling will not affect his gameplay today. He played well for three days. Furthermore we shall see what Matt can do. Was Elizabeth thinking of Emperor Mansa Musa from the Mali empire? Or perhaps Pachacouti? I noticed her response was incomplete.
