WHAT IS “THE DA VINCI CODE”?

If you do a search on J-Archive for “Da Vinci Code”, you’ll come up with over 50 clues. Besides the Louvre and Opus Dei, such clues may mention the author, the main character (Professor Robert Langdon), Mary Magdalene, the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. This list of 2003 Fiction Best-Sellers on Wikipedia will show you just how popular Dan Brown’s novel was that year.

The “Da Vinci Code” was adapted to the big screen in 2006 with a screenplay written by Avika Goldsman. It was directed by Ron Howard and starred Tom Hanks as Langdon and Paul Bettany as the evil Opus Dei monk, Silas.

Margaret bet $3,000 and finished with $6,600.

Ryan bet $4,300 on the chance that Sam would be wrong (and I’m sure those hopes were dashed when he saw the clue). That brought Ryan up $23,300.

Sam bet a big $14,801 and won the game with $38,001. Sam Kavanaugh is the new Jeopardy! champ.

  4. Matthew Larsen says:

if someone wins 5 games will emma still stay in toc because that would be crazy. she shouldn’t qualify just because she beat a top three player of all time. nancy zerg didn’t get to go to toc just because she beat ken jennings. its ridiculous!

  5. Lou says:

Well Ryan had a great run today and I am glad that everyone got final right. Congrats to them. Although Dave Leffler is out, I just wondered why Emma was added into the toc VJ? If this is the case I so love to see the rematch between her and james. I really wish Ryan bilger would be in this year’s Toc as well.

    • VJ says:

Yeah, Lou, I am kind of bummed that this fifth game didn’t go Ryan’s way but he still played a great game and at least he was defeated by a very worthy competitor. So congrats to Sam.

idk exactly when they made this ToC decision but Emma either got Dave or Ryan’s spot in the ToC so it seems only fair to me that they should be in the next one.

@VJ, I just watched the Show and based on Trebek’s comments before fj clue was revealed it appears that we on FF aren’t the only ones who make predictions on how contestants will fare on fj clues. 😉 It sounds like Trebek does the same thing with the crew.

        • VJ says:

yes, Jacob, it seemed to me that he was indicating that the clue was going to be a piece of cake. I was thinking. gee, if that’s what they thought, it must have occurred to them that it was too easy for FJ
