WHAT IS THE MASTERS?

From Masters.com: “Looking to provide a service to golf by hosting a tournament, Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts decided to hold an annual event beginning in 1934…. Roberts proposed the event be called the Masters Tournament, but Bobby Jones objected thinking it too presumptuous. The name Augusta National Invitation Tournament was adopted and the title was used for five years until 1939, when Jones relented and the name was officially changed. The first Tournament was held March 22, 1934, and beginning in 1940, the Masters was scheduled each year during the first full week in April.”

The areas mentioned in the clue are No. 2, No. 3 and No. 13 on this image of the course at the Augusta National Golf Club.

Amy bet $6,601 for a $15,801 finish.

Andrew bet it all and doubled his score to $26,000.

Scott bet $10,201. That brought him up to $26,001 and made him the new Jeopardy! champ.

What was Amy’s response to Alex chat time

    • VJ says:

After Alex hijacked Amy’s chat story by saying that tap dancing was on his bucket list, Amy said he could probably learn it in a few years and he said “I don’t have a few years.” She said you have to be comfortable and relaxed

I am glad everyone got final right. After a month of leader curses, I hope Scott can turn things around in the next few games before July rolls in. Also VJ did your kids ever play mini golf for fun or for competition? Who is your favorite masters champion say Phil mickelson, bubba Watson?

Still glad Andrew made a come back but I would love to see him win a few more games to close out the month of June.

    • VJ says:

Yes, Lou, we all played mini golf at amusement parks but other than that, I don’t follow the sport.

I agree that Andrew played a good game today (I hope Trebek doesn’t bring it up tomorrow that he won more today than yesterday.) He and Scott were really dueling for the lead for a while and Scott came out on top so congrats to him.

Anyway, we all went with 2, except my wife. She went with 3.

Well, it’s hubby 1, better half 1 now. Guess I should listen to my wife more often…..:):):)

And of course CONGRATULATIONS to Scott, another new champion. And the countdown for the ToC starts all over again.
