These 10 pm airings can be tough on me. We had the semblance of a game till Joey handed Adam that simple whistle/thistle clue, and never could get close enough to stay in range. I did fair overall and definitely knew all three DDs and Final. Someone should have known the 33-day Pope; no excuse for that. Same for the Brando line in that classic 1954 film. “Gouda” was a huge giveaway in the art stumper. Almost got the Central American country but changed from the right one to the wrong one. Cool story about Yul Brynner. I never have seen the show but I have the original Broadway cast album. Pretty sure I saw the film long ago.
It seemed like Adam second-guessed himself on the tiny country. He should’ve said his first impulse. Like Ken, I thought everyone knew it. 😃
Yul Brynner smoked 5 packs/day until he died. He filmed a message that was shown after his death.
My spouse isn’t a regular J! watcher, but I can often persuade her into watching FJ. We got the idea, naming the teams, but, not the cities! Oh well!
I’ve wondered now and then how anyone could smoke 4 packs a day, nevermind 5. Do they light one off the other? Do they smoke while they’re eating and In the bathtub? We’re talking 80 to 100 cigarettes a day!
I saw Yul Brynner live in “The King and I” at the Uris theater in 1977, with Constance Towers as Anna. It was the tour before the final one in the 80s. We had good seats, too, courtesy of my MIL. I could see Yul’s eyeliner!!
