btw, on that clue about the Equalizer having few equals when it comes to long marriages, there are 30 other still together couples married in the 1980s on Fikkle Fame’s list.

  2. Jason says:

All I can say is a second consecutive day of “yuck”. Last first: I, nearly immediately, figured it out, bit, them, deconstructed it. 45? 9×5, maybe? Then, I knew I was right. At least Ben’s response of “handball” is an actual Olympic sport. Sumo has never yet been in the Olympics.

Tym irritated me early when he was responding to clues before he was called on. That should not have gotten this far.

Ick on the Coryat. This is another lemon.

And, maybe it’s just me, but, I tend to think that, if a player wagers $1500, or the same amount as the clue space is worth, they aren’t going to win.

Boy howdy, I can only hope tomorrow is better.

  3. Howard says:

This show may not have had a record # of stumpers, but it had to be high on the list of incorrect responses. 2 of the DDs and FJ were challenging (I said handball but knew that was wrong), but Janie should have known the famous British architect.

Poor Tym bounced up and down as if he were on a trampoline. He never rang in once till the end of round 1, then couldn’t get much of anything right. And his monotone was reminiscent of Ben Stein’s.

The Brooklyn Dodger who died in ’72; the Utah point, and the LP adhesive were all I could muster out of all those toughies.

  4. Rick says:

I sure thought that I had seen the same FJ sometime before, and the correct response was table tennis. Well, if it still stumps everybody, why not run it through again I suppose?

  5. VJ says:

I got that clue about the imaginary Irish band. I saw the movie — didn’t know it was a book first.

Ben named a real band when he buzzed in (The Replacements)

  6. Collin says:

Another dagger for this show today. The combined coryat this time is $16,000,15 triple stumpers and $20,200 on incorrect responses.

  7. Travis says:

I guessed ping pong on the final which is another name for table tennis, would that have been a valid answer?

  8. Jacob Ska says:

Yikes! NOT sure I want to watch this episode. Two days in a row disasters.

  9. Ismael Gomez says:

Horrible show once again. 3 more DDs were missed resulted our fifth skunking and a double stumper for the second day in a row. Just like I said yesterday, it should’ve say NEITHER contestant left in Final Jeopardy! got it right and that completes a total wipeout of wagering clues.

    • William Weyser says:

You know what I’m gonna say, Ismael. Darn Those Daily Doubles!

    • VJ says:

@Ismael – Please explain why you feel it necessary for you to say “it should’ve say NEITHER contestant left in Final Jeopardy! got it right” when the recap already says that.

      • Ismael Gomez says:

You just forgot to add the “and that completes a total wipeout of wagering clues” part.

        • VJ says:

No I didn’t “forget” to add that. If you want to say that, leave out what I already said.

  10. Kevin Cheng says:

For the second day in a row, we have only 2 players left and a double stumper in FJ! This wasn’t Tym’s day as he couldn’t stay out of the red. It’s the first time in a long time that we have a 2 player on back to back days. Ben’s 3 day total is the lowest in the history of the show.

    • Ismael Gomez says:

Not only that, but it is also the second day in a row where we have an epic fail on wagering clues.
