Mazin found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Book Title References” under the $600 clue on the 5th pick of the round. He and Lisa both had $800, $200 more than Eric in second place. He bet the $1,000 allowance and his response was close, but it was WRONG.

Eric finished in the lead with $6,800. Mazin was second with $2,800 and Lisa was last, at negative $200. All clues were uncovered.

Eric found the first Daily Double in “Astronomy” under the $1,600 clue on the 11th pick. He was in the lead with $12,000 now, $6,800 more than Mazin in second place. He bet $6,000 and he was RIGHT.

4 clues later, Eric got the last Daily Double in “Biblical Women” under the $1,200 clue. In the lead with $17,200, he had $12,000 more than Mazin in second place. He bet $5,000 this time and he was RIGHT again.

Eric finished in the lead with a runaway $29,400. Mazin was next with $9,200 and Lisa was in third place with $200. All clues were uncovered.

Buster Keaton aka “The Great Stone Face” made his mark as a great comedian in silent films where he excelled at physical comedy and deadpan delivery. As pointed out in a Town and Country article from last December, Lucille Ball was known as “Queen of the B” movies in the 1940s, unable to get a breakthrough role that would catapult her to the “A” list. Buster Keaton recognized Ball’s comic potential and he was one of the mentors that helped Ball develop and focus on the talents that would make her a TV legend in the 1950s when everyone loved Lucy.
Lucille Ball was a big fan of the game show “High Rollers” which was hosted by Alex Trebek. Ball is credited with recommending Trebek for the hosting gig to Jeopardy! creator Merv Griffin.
Lisa got it right. She doubled her score to $400.
Mazin thought it was Mary Tyler Moore. That cost him $8,799 and left him with $401.
Eric wrote down Ginger Rogers. He lost $2,600 but won the game with the remaining $26,800. Eric’s 6-day total is $160,601.

Ginger Rogers a TV legend? Ouch. Knew it had to be Lucy or Carol Burnett, but Lucy seemed the safer pick.
Have known for many decades what two bits represents. 8 bits is considered a dollar-something to do, I think, with the old expression “pieces of eight.”

Yes, Stuart, this was the $2000 clue in that Rock Docs category: “4-time “Jeopardy!” champ Jackie Fuchs has a J.D. from Harvard; as Jackie Fox, she played bass in this all-female Joan Jett band”
In the Knight After Knight category, it was hilarious when a picture of Michael Caine was shown and Mazin thought it was Mick Jagger. I figured there weren’t going to be many correct responses in FJ! at that point!

I wonder what Mick Jagger would think of being mistaken for Michael Caine, that was a hysterical response!
As per the next to the smallest planet in the solar system, I naturally came up with: “What is Mercury”? Well, I gave myself credit for that one regardless as Pluto is indeed a full fledged planet. When are those clowns at the International Astronomical Union going to get that straight? Regarding the FJ, the program in our area was interrupted at that point by a thunderstorm warning. Oh well!

Speaking of that book by Agatha Christie there is a game based on Death of the Nile. No one can forget the legendary Lucille Ball. To this day she has made all of us laugh on television.
