John was thinking of Jacksonville, I’m sure.

Impressive show by Matt, whose ballsy DD wager removed all semblance of a tight contest. Librarian Jackie got a book category second day in a row. I soured on her early when she whiffed on that cinch DD (London Bridge) and said (for the Howard Hughes clue) “Catch Me if You Can” instead of “The Aviator.”

“Seminole” (i.e. Florida) and a Shakespeare play I really don’t know led me immediately to Orlando. I thought the 2nd DD was fairly obvious but blanked on the third. A couple of creampuffs I thought they missed: the Italian dessert; the 3-ringed QB; and the English strait.

Jackie wagered wisely in FJ, just enough to get 2nd place by $1 if John went all-in and got it right. He should have bet $601 and played for Jackie to miss FJ, but that was moot when she got it right.
