WHAT IS “THE FLINTSTONES”?
The modern stone-age family known as The Flintstones was created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, who created quite a few popular cartoon series in the 1960s. The Flintstones ran from 1960 to 1966, sometimes featuring famous stars like Stony Curtis and Ann Margrock.. In 1968, Hanna-Barbera licensed the show’s name to Miles Laboratories, who introduced Flintstones Chewable Vitamins, in the shape of the show’s characters, except Betty Rubble. Betty got included in the 1990s and sales are still going strong today.
In 1971, Post decided to get a piece of the action and introduced Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles cereal. In 2022, Marketplace.org took a look at how these products managed to remain popular more than 60 years after the Flintstones went into reruns.
Jordan got it right. He didn’t bet a rock so he finished with $1,000.
Roni went with Sesame Street. That didn’t cost her anything either as she chose to stand pat on $1,600.
Ben also got it right. He bet $716 and won the game with $16,816. Ben has a 2-day total of $41,815.

Yawn, a real blowout, after the challengers showed a little early promise. Ashamed to admit I blanked on FJ, even though I always watched that show on Friday nights since its inception. Took me years to realize it was a ripoff of “The Honeymooners.” Also ashamed to admit I know the Terry Jacks song, which rates very high on my Worst Songs Ever list. All of the other stumpers and last two DDS were unkind. Roni sure knew her demons, most of which were puzzling to me.
Aww…. my kids know that Terry Jacks song because i used to play the oldies station a lot. . But I don’t know if they would have remembered the title by the lyric on the clue. Terry Jacks and his wife also did “Which Way You Going, Billy” as the Poppy Family.
It began as quite a competitive game, but then it morphed into a clear runaway for Ben, Anyways, I did a tad above average in the game, but was stumped in FJ. Well, we kids always favored One A Day vitamins which were pretty good in fact.
My favorite Flintstone cartoon is Cinderellastone, as I mentioned in this post.
2/3 on DD, and got FJ.
Roni had, I have to say, a very smooth, soothing voice. She reminded me of a woman maybe I should have married about 20 years ago. She was slower and measured, but didn’t seem like she was slower, like Liam did (in my perception). It’s really too bad she didn’t do better.
I only got about 1/3 of TS.
