Susan finished in the lead with $3,800. Evan was second with $3,600 and Adam was last with $2,800.

Adam found the first Daily Double in “Angles” under the $1,200 clue on the 14th pick. He was in second place with $6,400 now, $3,400 less than Susan’s lead. He bet $4,000 and he was RIGHT.

Susan finished in the lead with $13,000. Adam was next with $10,400 and Evan was in third place with $5,800.

Adam went with Mexico, El Salvador & Panama. He bet and lost it all.
Susan had Mexico, Guatemala & Honduras. She lost $5,001. The $7,999 she had left was enough to win today’s game so Susan Alden is the new Jeopardy! champ.

Felt sure this was a super easy FJ, even before the clue was given in WESTERN HEMISPHERE GEOGRAPHY. I always am stunned by how little people often know about geography, even on JEOPARDY! For certain ace eco champion, science nerd, and ethical vegan Greta Thunberg and her friend Luisa Marie Neubauer (a German college graduate who majored in geography) would have aced this Triple Stumper. This was not a tough category like say anything to do with sports or recent pop culture or such!
A lot of difficult clues today. Just like in Gilbert Collins game where they also had a similar category like this and all missed while the leader won. I thought all the contestants should know belize today. Evan had difficulty finding rhythm. Adam should have just kept his money and not go all in, don’t you agree VJ?
Actually, Lou, I don’t agree — I was rooting for Susan to win 😁 I knew she was going to know that $2000 clue just from the photo of the actress in the She Played ‘Em on TV category — The ground-breaking 1968 title role of “Julia”, and June on “White Collar”

I loved her voice, Rhonda. And as for the Presidential Sweet, I never liked Ronald Reagan’s favorite candy or FDR’s holiday cake but I used to love Jimmy Carter’s. (The closest thing I get to it now is Payday)

And I forgot to mention about the scrabble word clue coming up on today’s game, just when you posted the Sporcle Scrabble quiz this morning.

it wasn’t there for a while, Rhonda. She was sitting with me today when I was watching the show and when Evan said “Where is Texas” in that Police Squad category, I asked her if she knew where Texas was. She said “the Nited Steaks” lol! (I never correct kids when they say stuff wrong. I just bring up whatever it is and say it the right way for a couple of days and, in my experience, they quickly pick it up).
No wonder I didn’t see it before!
I love it, “the Nited Steaks”. Not correcting kids on things they say wrong is the way to go, I agree.
Yeah, there have been a few notable exceptions, like “you talked backwards to me.” Too hilarious. We’re gonna let her learn the right way to say that somewhere else.
