WHAT IS “THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA”?

In 2013, on the 25th anniversary of the Broadway opening of “Phantom of the Opera”, Broadway Buzz published 25 Phabulous Phacts about the play. No. 14 lists Howard McGillin “the world’s longest-running Phantom.” No. 13 says that there have been 12 Phantoms; however, when the 33rd anniversary was coming up this past January, Playbill noted that 16 actors had been cast in the role since its debut. These statistics are only applicable to Broadway musicals, as there are hundreds playing the role of Phantom around the world.

Morgan seems to have that buzzer mojo down today and it helped her greatly. Speaking of phantom of the opera I remember reading about it but I have not seen the show on Broadway for such a long time. I thought the opponents would have known this one. Good scores today. Let’s hope Morgan can keep her wins going. She seems to be expanding her knowledge here.
