Will was too quick on the buzzer during the first half of the game, and started fumbling. Later on, he came from behind, and remained the champ. Good going Will! As for me, I did a little above average in the game. Yes, I scored on some of the DDs in today’s game as I did in the prior game. With that being said, I won’t normally mention the DDs unless some controversies pop up. In fact, I usually get into trouble whenever I veer off the FJ in my commentaries. As for the FJ, I misread the clues, but I likely wouldn’t have come up with the correct response anyways.
I called it – Will. Still, as my friend Howard said, his up and down had me a bit concerned.
I was 2/3 on DD, and missed FJ. I said “Elijah”, because some vague novel about some large cetacean didn’t come to mind. (That’s 100% sarcasm, except for me not even bringing “Moby Dick” to mind.) I also missed most of the TS.
I wonder if Will is this season’s Juveria. She almost took it all, starting out at 2nd Chance.
Will was up and down more than a yo-yo, but ultimately prevailed thanks to his huge lead from last night. He’s a bit off-the-wall, but also a cool guy with a dry sense of humor.
FJ got me. I figured Moby Dick but not the prophet.
This crew threw me a few bones: the schmeared roll (I’ve eaten many); Russian composer; divided pants; Spanish architect.
Funny that they had a clue about Ralph Cifaretto today. The first thing I thought about on the schmeared roll clue was Tony Soprano eating one.
I’ve never heard of the bagel’s cousin. Then again, I’m not Jewish, but “Jew-ish” – the most Jewish goy you’ll ever meet. I vaguely recall the “stok” city, but mostly the name from Max, from “The Producers”!
I too knew the name from “Producers” (the original movie from 1966 is a hoot), didn’t know it was a real place. The non-bagel is at best a cousin. The hole in the middle doesn’t go all the way through, there’s sometimes a piece of onion and poppy seeds in the center, and they don’t come in multiple flavors like bagels.
Heck of a fight from the ladies today They sure made it interesting
Congrats to Will for becoming this week’s Second Chance winner, he will appear in Champions Wildcard in a couple weeks. Kudos to both ladies for not giving up and making it a completive finals. We have another week of Second Chance starting next Monday.
