Ron found the first Daily Double in “Chemistry” under the $2,000 clue on the 5th pick. He was in a tie for the lead with Yussef. They both had $3,600, $600 more than Margaret. Ron bet it all and he was RIGHT.

Ron got the last Daily Double in “Stock Symbols” under the $800 clue, with 2 clues left after it. In the lead with $19,200, he had $10,800 more than Youssef in second place. Ron bet $2,000 and was close once again, but adding an extra syllable made him WRONG.

WHAT IS TEAPOT DOME?

Teapot Rock, aka Teapot Dome, is a rock formation in Natrona County, Wyoming about 19 miles north of Casper. It was named for a teapot because it had a handle and spout. These features were eroded by windstorms. To paraphrase lines from “I’m a Little Teapot”, in 1930, “there went its handle,” and in 1962, “there went its spout.” They may be gone but you can still sing “tip me over and pour me out” to the Final Jeopardy music.

Margaret got it right. She bet $601 and finished with $8,401.

Youssef indicated he didn’t know. He bet and lost his whole $8,400.

Ron had no response. He lost $300 but won the game with $16,900. Ron’s 3-day total is $52,501.
