Only ONE of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
“Song of Russia” (1944) is an MGM musical, starring Robert Taylor as a conductor who meets and marries a Russian pianist on a 1941 tour of the Soviet Union. Taylor, MGM head Louis B. Mayer, and Russian emigré Ayn Rand were all called before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1947 to testify about it. You can read a transcript of Ayn Rand’s testimony here. At the time, she had published two books: “We the Living” (1936) and “The Fountainhead” (1943). “Atlas Shrugged” would come later in 1957.
Ayn Rand was also involved in an FBI study of the film that was the topic of Final Jeopardy! in Austin Rodgers 13th game (the one he lost).
Brad thought it was Pearl Buck. He bet and lost it all.
Kim crossed out Ethel Rosenberg in favor of Eleanor Roosevelt. She lost $12,999, leaving her with one dollar.
Jennifer got it right. She bet $3,000 and won the game with $27,000. Her 7-day total is $198,400.

For the third straight time in a row, Jennifer Quail is the only one right. If she would only got the correct response again tomorrow, oh boy. I smell something like Larissa Kelly.
My parents were not happy when Larissa finished second in the 2009 tournament.
It would have been so hilarious if a player didn’t know the Final and picked ‘Ernest Hemingway’.
Jennifer, you are owning this.
Kim was a strong player who would have won on most days, but a strong player like Jennifer got in her way.
Brad couldn’t get anything going today since the ladies were too quick on the buzzer. At least all the daily doubles are nailed and only Jen got final jeopardy. Seven wins is quite an accomplishment and I know Kyle Jones will be proud, especially Josh Hill. And here I thought the opponents today could have replaced Jen as champion, what has happened VJ? What was kim thinking with Eleanor Roosevelt?
I dunno, Lou, I thought this would be real easy for the whole panel and was surprised to see Americans in the answers, although in terms of citizenship, Ayn Rand was American since 1931.
