  1. William says:

Mattea is still as annoying as ever.

  2. Jason says:

I have a sinking feeling that Mattea will become the least charismatic champion ever. I don’t know if I couldn’t put my finger on it before, but, it’s the cadence of her voice, with every response sounding like she’s not sure. Then, a zero wager. Boring, boring, boring.

I did like Ken’s screw up. As to parallel VJ, I won’t say anymore.

  3. William Weyser says:

Mattea Roach beat both millionaires. YES! Congratulations, Mattea.

    – We’ll Always Have The Treaty Of Paris
    – Movie Quotes
    – Rhymes With A Snow White Dwarf
    – Wrong But Excellent

  5. Lou says:

I loved all the funny moments from today’s show and this was a good exhibition match for all three superchamps today. Congrats to Mattea getting today’s final right.

  6. Judy O'Toole says:

My husband and I were just telling someone the story of Alex and his half-moon keys. Always loved his answer about having no idea how to use them.

  7. VJ says:

There were some funny moments in today’s show but I didn’t say anything about them in the recap so viewers can react to them spontaneously when they see the show. I’m sure there will be a video of one of those moments and I’ll add it to the recap later tonight or tomorrow.

    • Richard Corliss says:

Why is Matt always saying “What’s” instead of “What is”?

      • Jason says:

Not the contraction, per se, but, Matt said in an interview that using “what” saved him that much brain power that he could apply to the clue. I would guess, without evidence, that “What’s” is in the same vein.

        • VJ says:

heh — I would think it takes more brain power to remember to say “what’s” when some of us would automatically say “who’s” when it’s a person

      • Howard says:

Matt was interviewed after his initial run, and he said his lawyer father told him it was perfectly OK to say “what’s” each time. I find it terribly annoying and unnecessary.

I noticed during the intro that he’s no longer from New Haven (Yale) and is now at Cambridge (Harvard or MIT) doing post-doctoral work that I’m sure I’d never understand.

The show was pre-empted here by election news but I saw it today on Youtube. I follow the show on Facebook and today got an email with a link to it.
