I said Leatherstocking, Natty Bumppo, and Chingachgook, and knew it was JF Cooper, but just could NOT come up with the answer. 2/3 on DD.

Colleen gave away a few freebies by giving half an answer.

I didn’t recall the football story exactly, in the 41 category, so, in my minds eye, I said the Cleveland Browns! Oy!

Anna, really, in the Medical Terms category, the $400 clue was about the least medical term one could use; that is, I, as a medical professional, would never say that to another.

  2. Howard says:

Wow, I thought they’d all nail that pretty easy FJ. Couldn’t be trailblazer since “trail” was in the clue. Very surprising. I’ve been to Cooperstown but never read any of his works.

Mark obviously not familiar with that terrific Bob Seger tune. A number of lines in it directly describe my move to LA and meeting my future wife, 50 long years ago.

Brian Piccolo team; thistle veggie; Bush’s two words; DFC medal; big joints; and one-side U word all very gettable. Only the third DD eluded me.

  3. Rick says:

Wow, another great game. As for the FJ, I came up with ‘trailblazer’, but that was just after the clock had run out. Oh well!

  4. Kevin Cheng says:

For the third game in a row this week. FJ! was a triple stumper. It’s not been a good week so far for FJ! this week. It looks like we won’t get any correct responses this week and there is a chance it might happen with 0 out of 15 correct responses in Final this week.
