I loved that “Music Man” clue. Here’s a link to the song.

    Robert Preston was the man!

Well I am surprised that we had a triple stumper in final jeopardy. But still it’s not surprising that Isaac didn’t know bed bath and beyond. Looks like Garrett broke the leader curse that went on for three weeks. I though for sure that comic books was one of Garrett’s favorite subject.

I was stunned by FJ being a triple stumper. Although perhaps the “cubit” clue being a triple stumper in the Jeopardy! Round could be seen as foreshadowing the FJ result.

I suppose a charitable interpretation would be that the contestants were familiar with the story, but failed to connect the specific language in the clue to the story. There are many times where the FJ response is obvious to me after the fact, and I just missed the clue(s) left by the writers.

Although if you’ve read the story in the last 20 years, the language would probably jump out immediately.

I agree about the foreshadowing…. I knew I wasn’t getting a triple solve when I saw that! Still didn’t expect these results.

As for that Library Invasions TS, the covers I saw from that comic book series all have the word “The” in the title. That makes it a 2-word title in my comic book. Garrett ought to ask for his $2 grand back.

I’m pretty sure that this is the first time that the 2 years ago clue had the same response as a clue in the game (The $1000 History clue)
