Rishabh found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Enjoy a Concerto” under the $800 on the 3rd pick of the round. He was in second place with $600, $200 less than Jay’s lead. Rishabh bet $1,000 and tried violin. That was WRONG.
Alberto Ginastera’s concerto for it, Opus 25, is loaded with swooping glissandi, called the instrument’s stock-in-trade show
Jay finished in the lead with $3,800. Rishabh was second with $3,200 and Rachel was last with $2,400. All clues were shown.

Rachel found the first Daily Double in “The Book Nook” under the $2,000 clue on the 8th pick of the round. She was in second place with $5,200, $3,200 less than Rishabh’s lead. Rachel bet $2,500 and she was RIGHT.

Jay found the last Daily Double in “The ___ of the ___” under the $1,200 clue on the 11th pick of the round. He was in last place with $6,600, $1,800 less than Rishabh’s lead. Jay bet $2,600 but had no guess so he was WRONG.
“Jesus falls the first time” & “Jesus is laid in the Tomb” are parts of this reflective rite show
Rishabh finished in the lead with $10,400. Rachel was second with $10,100 and Jay was last with $4,800. All clues were shown.

WHAT IS COLUMBIA?
Wikipedia has a handy table in its Southeastern Conference (SEC) article. If you sort it by location, the University of Missouri comes up right above the University of South Carolina because they are both located in cities named Columbia. It also shows that South Carolina was founded first (1801) and joined the SEC first (1992). The University of Missouri was founded in 1839 and joined the SEC in 2012. Other things you can learn about those 2 colleges and the other 14 in the table are the team nicknames and colors.
There are other tables in that article. I am referring to the first one in the Current Members section.
Jay went with Oxford. That cost him $4,799 and left him with $1.00.
Rachel got it right. She bet $9,601 and finished with $19,701.
Rishabh had a couple of cross-outs before he managed to scribble in Columbia. Ken said he could read every letter. Rishabh bet $9,801 and won the game with $20,201. His 2-day total is $42,402.

Wow – the champ has absolutely awful handwriting, and I’m a doctor! It didn’t seem like there was a break the way Ken said “I can read every letter”, but I certainly couldn’t. I’m any case, I said “Lexington”, as in KY and VA, as my alma mater is VMI, in Lex, VA. I recalled VMI being in the Southern Conference, and thought it might have moved conferences. Irony is, when I lived in SC, I had a USC plate on my car!
Maybe it’s irrational, but, the $500 wagers just bug me. It’s too bad Rachel didn’t wager more aggressively with her DD.
And I had to laugh as Jay CERTAINLY didn’t grow up Catholic! (Not laughing at his miss, that’s a bummer.)
@Jason, we have established in the Trebek era that the host can see the answers before they are revealed, so I think that Ribish’s scribbled Columbia was already approved by the judges.
I don’t think scribbling under the pressure of trying to beat the clock is an example of anyone’s real handwriting. As for doctors’ handwriting, I’ve always wondered if they write badly on purpose to prevent forgery.
I didn’t know that about the responses.
As to doctors, from experience, I would say that we are rushed for time, maybe even harried.
Forgers are very inventive, but, forging prescriptions is generally not cost effective. Also, illegible handwriting leads to extra time, because it still has to be translated. I recall a day then I was in med school, and there was a note that my attending told me to consult. Well, I could not read it, as it was hand written by a Russian doctor. My attending had to go to her and have her interpret it.

Didn’t watch, but trolled my sports-loving brain for the FJ answer. Ran Austin, College Station, Norman, Oxford, Gainesville, Athens, Tuscaloosa, Auburn through my head to no avail. Finally got it, but not in the allocated time.
Guessed the jokester concerto-writer, and Black Panther leader. The others and the three DDs were unkind.
A $301 FJ wager by Rachel would have assured her of no worse than 2nd place, and a likely win if the champion missed it, regardless of her response. Her large wager forced her to get it right and still hope he missed. I usually won’t speculate on potential second-chancers, but I’d have to say she deserves one.
I was surprised that the contestants didn’t get some of the obvious clues tonight, but two of them did get the FJ correctly. As for me, I did quite well in the game, but for lack of anything better, I went with Atlanta for FJ. Well, a bad guess is better than nothing in this case.
