WHAT IS LIECHTENSTEIN?
According to its website, “As Liechtenstein has more jobs than inhabitants, more than half of all employees from neighbouring countries commute to work in the Principality every day.” Liechtenstein is a alpine landlocked country, bordered by Switzerland and Austria. The Austrian state of Vorarlberg is on its eastern border. Switzerland’s canton of the Grisons has a southern border with Liechtenstein and an eastern border with Vorarlberg. The Swiss canton of St. Gallen borders Liechtenstein on the west.
There are different regulations for different classes of non-resident workers but, generally, Swiss and Austrian commuters who live in the border areas return home every day, and are not required to have special permits.
Zoe got it right. She bet $5,401 and finished with $12,001.
Josh went with Luxembourg. That cost him $3,601 and left him with $5,999.
Enzo got it right, too, after nixing Luxembourg. He bet $3,800 and won the game with $19,400. Enzo is our second finalist.

It was another splendid game, and I did well above average. By all rights, the FJ should have been a shoo-in as I was well aware that Liechtenstein was a worldly renowned financial center. Darn!
2/3 on DD and missed FJ. Of course, I went with the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, while the Principality was correct. Oh well!
In re: this game vs yesterday, all I can say is, “What a difference a day makes”!
That is one of my favorite Poe stories with the famous last words: “For the love of God, Montresor”
I knew the father of angling but could only come up with the “Compleat” name of his book.🤣
I was all over Europe on FJ. Monaco, Vatican City, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein. Probably would have gone with Luxembourg.
Josh and I lapped up those sports clues, Enzo loved the historical ones. I thought the Poe DD was pretty easy and was sorry Zoe missed it. Fairly safe to say she’d have won if she’d nailed it.
Was sure someone would know the father of angling.
