Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings Will Host Jeopardy! For the Balance of 2021

Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings will be hosting Jeopardy! beginning September 20th through December 31st, 2021..

According to the article on J!Buzz, Bialik will be hosting all episodes for the next 7 weeks. After November 5th, Bialik and Jennings will alternate hosting based on their availability.

To refresh our memories from their time earlier this year, here is Final Jeopardy! from 6/1/2021, Mayim Bialik’s second game as guest host:

And here is the intro to Ken’s first episode as guest host on 1/11/2021.

Matt Amodio, our current champ, won his first game on the third day of Robin Roberts’ guest host stint back on 7/21/2021, winning every game for the rest of Roberts’ run. Matt then went on to win all the games hosted by LeVar Burton, David Faber and Joe Buck, for the rest of Season 37

Matt has won 4 of the games hosted by Mike Richards this week. He’ll have to win tomorrow’s game to be the champ when Mayim Bialik starts hosting on Monday, September 20th.

To be the champ when Ken Jennings starts hosting (presumably on 11/8/2021), Matt will then have to win 35 more games. Winning tomorrow will bring him up to 23 wins. Winning all the games through November 5th would make him a 58x champion (if I counted right) when Ken Jennings starts hosting.

I know it’s not likely to happen but it’s a hoot to think about it! Matt would have already beaten James Holzhauer’s 32-game record and would be challenging Jennings’s 74-game record by that time. That sure would be something to see.
