I was hoping they would give Gerard the $800 back on his Byelorussia response. Back in 2015, in Kerry Greene’s 3rd game, they gave her Byelorus in Final Jeopardy! with the explanation that the way she spelled it didn’t change the pronunciation. That was an entirely different clue, but they would have okayed it if he didn’t say the “sia” part. All the same, Byelorussia is also called “White Russia.”

VJ. would you be able to tell me what the clue was in Another Fine Mezzo, where the answer was Carmen? Thanks!

Congrats to all the players on getting final jeopardy right.

I noticed Gerard couldn’t get much rhythm going today but he put up a valiant effort. Also what year did Russia get the place name New Siberia, VJ? It’s so beautiful up there.
