WHO IS LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA?
Multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda won a slew of awards for the musical “In the Heights” between 2007 and 2009, all before his 30th birthday. Included in that achievement were his first Tonys and first Grammy. In 2015, he won his first Primetime Emmy for penning the lyrics to “Bigger”, the opening number of the 67th Tony Awards. Then came “Hamilton”, the musical Miranda is most-well known for. It got a record-breaking 16 nominations at the 70th Tony Awards, winning 11. Miranda personally won two of the them and he also won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
We’re only scratching the surface — Wikipedia has a full list of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s awards. One note: If you’re only seeing 2 Emmy Awards, it’s because his third Emmy in 2022 for “We the People” is listed under “Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.”
Ben got it right. He bet $2,200 and finished with $6,000.
Richard only got as far as “La”; maybe Ken will tell us who he was going for tomorrow. That cost Richard $2,000 but he won the game with the remaining $16,000. His 2-day total is $36,801.

Good Final clue but I blanked., I knew it wasn’t Dylan because he’d won an Oscar or two and a Nobel too, but probably no Tonys or Emnys or a Pulitzer. The challengers weren’t much competition for Richard, who was hardly infallible. “Everest” for “Hillary” and “V8” for “cranapple” made me cringe, as did his pronunciation of “kibbutz.” Lots of gettable/knowable clues tonight, and I even knew a number of the $1000/$2000 ones. The wrong guesses on the “vingt-et-un” clue and what you have to be to be on currency were also awful.
Shocked myself by knowing most of the opera clues including the DD (only opera I associate with Verdi). Didn’t get the other two DDs, shoulda known the last. Old enough to remember the Trujillo regime and I cannot believe not one of them could figure out what rhyming game vingt-et-un is, the “21 Jump St” star or the property of a rubber band. All in all, not an easy show to watch.
The author of the Hamilton bio, Ron Chernow, went to my HS 4 years earlier. Never knew him but he was legendary for some reason. His younger brother is in our Facebook alumni group.
Robyn, darn those Daily Doubles. Also, you put Mandy’s name instead of Robyn, at -$600 before the DJ! Round started.

It looked like Richard was trying to write down Lamar as his Final Jeopardy response. All I have to say is darn those daily doubles to Robyn. She found both daily doubles back to back but she got them incorrect and she fought bravely at the end but couldn’t quite make it back to Final.
2/3 on DD, and got FJ. I was thinking they might be trying to draw in some players with a “Bob Dylan” response.
But, “Throw Momma From The Train”? That’s just bad.
Probably the only movie she could relate “passenger” to in the moment.
I know you don’t mean the movie was bad 🤣🤣🤣That’s one of the funniest flicks I ever saw!
