5. (Fast Track) “Blue Suede Shoes” (Elvis Presley)
KC $66,000 GA $37,000
GA got another one. 1.78 to 2.15

Nicole & Fernando managed to bring their take home pay up most respectably on those last two songs. They’re going home with $18,500. Monica & Amber are going to take a crack at adding a lot more to their bank. How much more can they win? (Cue the audience) ONE MILLION DOLLARS!! 😀 😀 😀

One Million Beat Shazam Round – 6 songs
First 5: $25,000 each. They only get a shot at the million if they get all 5 right. There are no multiple choice screens and they have to know the song’s exact title before Shazam to be right.
1. POP: “Walking on Sunshine” (Katrina and the Waves) – The ladies said it simultaneously. Jamie tried to be cute by repeating it as Walking IN Sunshine, but Amber set him straight: “Don’t mess with my money”$91,000
2. SOUTHERN ROCK: “What’s Your Name” (Lynyrd Skynyrd) – Monica went with “A Little Less Talking” on that. Oops! The million is no longer an option.
3. R&B: “Breathe Again” (Toni Braxton) – Amber had that one for another $25,000 $116,000
4. ALTERNATIVE: “100 Years” (Mike Posner) – Monica thought she was close with “Superman.” Is that even in the lyrics?
5. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE: “Take Back the Night” – Amber nailed it.
They began the round with $66,000 and finished with strong>$141,000.

Monica & Amber now have to ponder the possibility of beating Shazam one more time, which will double their money to $282,000, as we know, if and only if they are right. If they are wrong, they will be left with $70,500. They do not have to accept the challenge. They can just say no to Shazam and leave $141,000 richer. It all depends on how confident they feel about ’70s music. Amber said she knew nothing about 70s music. Monica said she just listened to a 70s playlist yesterday, but they worried that it could be in a totally unfamiliar genre. Jamie pointed out that, no matter the genre, it’s always the biggest hits but that failed to persuade them. “We’re gonna take the money and run,” Amber said. They agreed to play it out like good sports and Monica knew it instantly: “Boogie Shoes” by KC and the Sunshine Band.

We have to say that the Shazam Shuffle has been a great improvement in Season 2 and it would be another great improvement if they stopped doing this. Let the players take their winnings and leave. Pick an audience member to play that last song with a small prize and, while we’re at it, it would also be nice if you guys paid something to the first team to leave.
